A B O U T THCG’s renovation of Elmhurst Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center stands out for its exemplary character and sophistication. The building was built in 1900, Elmhurst sought to maintain the classic style while incorporating a functional, safe, and warm atmosphere. Our full renovation included bathrooms, furnishings, handrails, flooring, ceiling, lighting, and new tiling.

C H A L L E N G E S Renovating and reconfiguring construction of a building from the early 1900s presented many unique challenges. Differences in materials and methods made it difficult to merge the new construction with the old. During the process, the THCG team expertly addressed a serious asbestos issue, removing it quickly and safely.
